Microchips are compulsory for all dogs and cats in Geelong from 12 weeks of age. The microchip provides a permanent tool of identification for your pet.

Your details are linked to the microchip number so that you can be re-united with your loved one. The chip is inserted under the skin on the scruff of the neck with a needle. It can be performed in a consultation and requires no anaesthetic.
